What we at Alpacas of Wales will do

1. We will provide the very best care for all visiting animals, as we do with our own herd. However, alpacas visit at their own risk and we recommend that all alpacas are fully insured during their stay. Underwriters should be informed of the change of location.

2. If we need to call the vet to your animal, we will always try to contact you beforehand. If this is not possible, we will make sure that the animal receives appropriate treatment under veterinary guidance and that you are kept informed. Veterinary fees & drug costs will be charged to the owners.

3. Livery charge for the first 10 weeks is included in the Stud fee, following which we charge £7 per week per animal.

4. Your animals should have no more than 12 months fleece growth when they arrive with us and we reserve the right to trim the fleece around the back end of the female should we feel it necessary to achieve a satisfactory mating.

5. We will collect or deliver your females for a round trip mileage charge of £0.75 per mile.

6. A comprehensive handover report for each alpaca in our care will be given to owners on return or collection of their animals.

For Our Clients to do!

1. All visiting alpacas must be wormed 6 days before arrival at our farm and be up to date with their clostridial vaccinations.

2. All females must be treated for mites and mange (Eprinex Pour On or Ivomec Super Injection) 14 days prior to arrival at our farm and again immediately before they arrive.

3. If your females or cria at foot, need any vaccinations whilst they are with us, you must give us clear written instructions. If you use products other then Lambivac, please bring your product with you.

4. Your animals should have no more than 12 months fleece growth when they arrive with us.

5. Payment for Stud Fees is payable before return of your animals, or in the case of advance payment schemes, before the first mating takes place.

6. A mating contract and female breeding history is required to be signed before we accept females for breeding – please contact us if you would like an advance copy.
